Enjoying TWO while it lasts!

SO the picture of lucy with the random "toy."  She grabbed the pumpkin carving knife (not very sharp) and a plastic (yes gross i know) cover to a styrofoam (yes i know--even grosser) cup....and some loose leaf organic tea (I just made it better right?)....anyways...she made up her own little toy by stirring the tea with the knife through the plastic cover.  I thought it was pretty creative.  :)  The picture of her posing by the dishwasher is the future cover of the magazine "ballerinas and cowgirl boots ." OMG.  The others are from by the campfire we had this evening.  perfect night for it!

Redwing, MN fun!

We spent the day in Redwing, just relaxing and shopping and on no schedule whatsoever!  Its fabulous!  I have a backpack that Ive been using on the trip....and the little miss Lucy wants to be just like Mommy...so shes been carrying hers around too...filled with, of course, her dolls. Had lunch at the St James Hotel...which was awesome considering all our food stuff we have to/choose to think about!  The chef actually came to our table to be sure he was taking care of us!  It was very awesome!  Then we found a Toy shop....enough said....sorry Daddy.  Then we found a small little "co-op"...and lucy was thrilled to find treats she could eat!!! The picture is of Lucy sitting by the box of food we bought...randomness.I let her fill up a basket...rice milk, two plums, two tea bags, chips (to go with the peach salsa we bought from the orchard yesterday!), dried pineapple, dried mango, one banana, and some Grade B syrup! We played in a park that had some beautiful gardens!  We found a little bookshop with the coolest play area/book nook!  We learned about traffic lights, "pretty pretty" flower baskets hanging all over the city, bells on churches, the joy of elevators (and pushing the alarm button), train whistles, scribbled on the kids menu all of the people Lucy has ever met!, held hands down main street and chit chatted the way we do, met a few cool people along the way, bought matching winter hats from a Scandinavian shop....  it's the simple things.....and best part....all within a few city blocks.  No stroller, no planning, no stress, just me and lucy having a blast.  love.

Our adventure on the train!

She'll be three in less than a month. We decided to take a train trip before her third birthday!  Soaking up some time with my two year old!!!!  Here are some pix to capture the last few days!

If I loved her anymore...my heart would burst!

The many faces of Lucy.....this is only a fraction of them.  We tried on some winter stuff from last season to see if it would fit...it did.  She wanted me to take pix, so i did.  What a ham!  oooh, i love her! ( oh and yes, she has oranges in her teeth...)  I tell ya, its like every picture I take of her...she has food either in her teeth or on her face!)
