Lucy 2 1/2

I cannot believe she's already 2 1/2!  She's such a blessing.  It amazes me how fast she has grown and how much development happens in 2 1/2 years.  She is now my big girl!  She is a very smart little gal...i may be biased...but some of the things she does just amazes me!  Some of the newest changes for us:  1. I am so happy and proud to say that i was able to nurse her for nearly 2 1/2 years....2 years 5 months 13 days and 7 hours!  (only i would know it in that much detail!!!) It was such an amazing and beautiful experience for Lucy and I to have that bond/connection.  I am so happy that i nursed her that long and would have gone longer i think, but we were both kinda ready for our next "phase."She  has grown to be a very secure little toddler who very much is a happy girl!  2. Daddy is enjoying some of the bedtime routine now that nursing is not part of it.  He does a great job with her and she likes reading the Pookie book with him!  Nice break for me too!  3. Lucy got new shoes (big story right now!)  Im enjoying that if i get excited about it she does too!---So we got some very natural looking shoes!! Oh and the picture of the new bath toys are a big hit right now too! 4.  Im doing yoga two nights a week, so Lucy and Daddy are having fun times at the park and playing with babies and drawing on the art easel!  SO HAPPY SPRING HAS ARRIVED!  5. We are getting ready to do some planting!  We started last weekend with some indoor seeds..spinach, peas, parsley and lettace.  Looking forward to our organic garden!  Also looking forward to lots of flowers on our big deck.  We started our yard work too last weekend, whoa.  lots to do. Its a lot easier this year doing it with Lucy now that she helps us!  She has her own rake and gloves.  She particularly enjoys playing in the dirt and transferring dirt from one container to another!   Im sitting on the deck in the warm sun, which brings me to my last thought.....I am sooooo thankful to have such an amazing man as my husband.  He works so hard everyday for our family.  I am so thankful i get to be at home with Lucy during her early childhood years.  It is a dream come true for me to be at home with her.  Happy Spring everyone!
